38. Jacob RATCLIFF¹ was born on 26 March 1793 in Chatham County, North Carolina. He died on 28 June 1863 at the age of 70 in Highland County, Ohio.

Jacob married (2) at the Dover MM, Ohio, to Mary E. Hunnicutt, dau of Eprhiam & Margaret Hunnicut, 1848, 1m 20d.
Mary E. Ratcliff then transferred membership to the Newberry Monthly Meeting, 1848 4m 13d.

Jacob's will, Highland Co, OH, 1862, names his second wife and three of his children, William, John and Elizabeth.

Jacob RATCLIFF and Sarah SMITH were married on 30 March 1820 in Highland County, Ohio. Sarah SMITH, daughter of William SMITH and Margaret [SMITH], was born on 2 October 1796. She died on 19 October 1840 at the age of 44 in Highland County, Ohio.

Sarah is buried at the Turtle Creek Burying Ground.
