Nancy married 16 Dec 1793, Sylvanius Stokes. In December of 1809, he remarried, so apparently she had died. They are shown with as many as eleven children - some may be children of the second wife.

Stokes to hold in trust for Nancy the home given to her plus 150 acres land adj Garrett, Isaac Patterson's spring; at death of Nancy said land in trust to go to son Allen D. [sic in abstract] Stokes and his heirs. Residue of land to be sold and divided as follows: 1/5 to grandsons Robert & William Gatewood to hold for their mother Sally Gatewood wife of Lewis Gatewood, then to her children and grandchildren; 1/5 to Susan B. Price wife of W.W. Price for her life then to grandson Thomas Harrison and great granddaughter Martha Blackard; 1/5 to daughter Polly Stokes wife of Allen Stokes and her heirs; 1/5 to Eliza F. Price wife of Daniel Price and her heirs; 1/5 to sons Thomas D. and Allen Y. Stokes & Thomas to hold Allen's part in trust. Grandson Thomas Harrison to have negro boy Pharoah plus $150; g grandd Martha Blackard negro boy Joe plus $150. Rest of slaves and estate to be sold with 1/9 division to following: grandsons Robt & William Gatewood; daughter Susan Price; daughter Polly Stokes; daughter Eliza F. Price; son William Stokes; son Dudley Stokes; son Joel A. Stokes; son Thomas D. Stokes; son Allen Y. Stokes. Court to appoint an adm with will annexed. Wit: J.W. Garrett, James Hagood, John Hagood.
