Seventh Generation

137. Hannah FARLEY56 was born (date unknown).

Mother Hannah Farley, guardian of Hannah consented to the marriage to Jacob Thomas. Surety was John Farley [prob Hannah's brother]

Found the following marriage record: I believe this is Hannah remarrying after the death of Jacob - she was from Halifax Co.
WILLIAM BRANDON HANNAH THOMAS 21 September 1805 Halifax
Henry Talley was bondsman.

There are likely guardianship records in Halifax Co for Madison & Jacob Thomas. I found likely marriages for both of them in that county, and they had inherited property from their uncles.

195

i.

James Madison THOMAS84,106 was born about 1794.

[Birth year estimated from marriage of parents. In references, including his father's Will, Madison is always listed first; presumably the elder of the two boys.]

I believe he also married several years prior to Jacob. The following is probably his marriage:
James M. Thomas to Sarah Adams, 17 Oct 1813, Halifax Co, VA

ii.

Jacob THOMAS84,106 was born before May 1797.

He was old enough to make a deed May, 1818, so he was at least 21 by that time.
