John Vaughan is said to have died at the home of George Poindexter, 20 Jan 1725 - probably his brother-in-law, George.

Here is a land grant indicating that the Poindexters lived near the Vaughan's:
13 Jun 1755 - Grant to Noel Waddel in New Kent Co. 30 acres begin at a black gum standing in Vaughan's branch in a line that divides this land from George Poindexter's thence...made a corner upon Rumley Marsh Swamp. PB 32, p.591
