167. Mary Wentworth "Polly" POINDEXTER was born on 11 March 1775 in Surry County, North Carolina.⁶² She died on 6 February 1863 at the age of 87.⁶⁵

Mary is said to have carried letters through the Revolutionary War lines and is listed as a Patriot in the DAR lineage books. However, the proof is no long to be found and this connection has been disallowed.

Mary Wentworth "Polly" POINDEXTER and Jesse RIDINGS were married on 16 December 1805 in Surry County, North Carolina.^62,65,166 Jesse RIDINGS, son of John RIDINGS and Polly GENTRY, was born in 1777.¹⁹⁷ He died in 1863 at the age of 86.¹⁹⁷
