23 Mar 1686. Ester, aged 22 said that a fortnight or three weeks before she went to her father Pledge's and did then eat some hoggs feet and beef which her said father gave her and the said feet being fresh. She signed her mark.
John Cannon age about 43 signed a deposition Apr 1, 1686 in which he stated about two or three years ago John Pledge had 20 head of hogs or thereabout and that said Pledge lived [near] him 4 or 5 years and he never wronged any person of anything.

Esther married John Cannon. whose land was near that of John Pledge. John Cannon's will was dated 10 May 1697 and gave to son John, land bounded by John Pledge & the Spring Branch; to son William, land above Four Mile Creek to Miery Branch; to daughter Mary, a red heifer; to loving wife Easter, all the rest and she to be executrix. Nich. Perkins, John Pledg and John Redford to be overseers of this will. Witnessed by John Pleg, Edward Mathews, Phill Childers, and John Redford. Probate 1 Feb 1697.

Children are seen as John, William, Joseph [not in the will of his father] and Mary.
