27. John HUFF was born in 1773 in North Carolina. He died in 1842 at the age of 69 in Stokes County, North Carolina.

John HUFF and Charity ADAMSON were married before 1794. Charity ADAMSON³², daughter of Jesse T. ADAMSON and Mary WELLS, was born in 1778.³³

The Ken Bowen webpage states that she married John Huff and remained in North Carolina, and this seems the most likely.
This appears to be another instance of confusion among the daughters of the Adamson brothers in Tennessee because another database had her married to Benjamin Wilson.

There is a marriage listed in the Tennessee State Marriages - names are indexed wrong much of the time. This is a Benj. Wilson to "Charlotte" Adamson, 6 Aug 1818. Charity would have been about age 40 - I doubt this would be her marriage. It's also possible she was not this age - I've found no basis for the order, nor births of the children of Jesse Adamson.

John Huff married a second time, 11 Jun 1829, Stokes Co NC to Martha Hicks.
