12 Nov 1774. Nathan Pike of Surry Co, yeoman, sold land to John Flanen of Chatham Co for 60#'s. It was 175 acres in Guilford Co, on the waters of Brush Creek, waters of Rocky River, line of Moses Nelson. Part of a tract from Granville to Nelson, 28 Jun 1762. Nelson sold to Jeffrey Beck 4 Jan 1764; Beck sold to John Johnston on 27 Jul 1767 [who must have sold it to Nathan] Signed by Nathan Pike and Elizabeth Pike.

3 Jun 1775, Nathan was granted certificate to move to the New Garden Monthly Meeting.
He bought land from the estate of Mr. May of Surry Co in 1783. There is a Nathan Pike on the taxpayers list in Wayne Co in 1786 and there is a Nathan Pike in the 1790 census of Wayne Co. There was a single male over 16, two males under 16, and three females.
Nathan PIKE and Elizabeth WILLIAMS were married on 8 November 1769 in Cane Creek, Orange County, North Carolina.19 Elizabeth WILLIAMS19, daughter of WILLIAM WILLIAMS and MARGARET [WILLIAMS], was born on 25 December 1750 in Loudoun County, Virginia.20 She died in Clinton County, Ohio.

Margaret married James Patterson, 4 Aug 1798, Cane Creek Meeting. James was born 3 Nov 1762, Henrico Co, VA, the son of Joseph and Sarah (Simmons) Patterson.
Margaret married (2) to a Mr. Davison. She was disowned for marrying out of unity.
There was a son born to Margaret and Patterson - William B. Patterson, b. 15 Apr 1799.

Priscilla married Gabriel Willits, 16 Jan 1799, at Deep River. He was a son of Henry and Charity (Wilson) Willits, born 6 Jan 1771, Kingwood, Hunterdon Co, NY.
Priscilla married (2) to James Piggot, 2 Aug 1823, Alamance Co NC. She died as a member of the Union Monthly Meeting in Stokes Co, now Forsyth Co, NC. There were eleven children born to Priscilla and Gabriel Willits.

Sarah married David Phillips, circa 1800, Stokes Co NC. He was born 4 Feb 1781, Quakertown, Bucks Co PA and died 9 Feb 1840 in North Carolina. There were ten children.

Nathan is said to have married Nancy Cartwright, 7 Sep 1801, Pascquotank Co. [I believe this is the wrong Nathan; he would have been only 14 years old - this marriage given in the Pike Family History book. The location is also wrong as the family had left Pasquotank. Surely a different Nathan Pike.]
