26. Ruth PIKE4,12,21 was born on 18 August 1744 in Frederick County, Virginia.14 She died on 2 December 1795 at the age of 51 in Deep River, Guilford County, North Carolina.12

Ruth's birth was the 18th day of the 6th month [actually August] of 1744, although many records show it as the 18th of June.

Ruth married Michael Wisner, 7 Nov 1761, Cane Creek, Orange Co NC. Michael was born 4 Apr 1740, Stuttgart, Wurtemberg, Germany, son of Johann and Ursula Weisner. Michael died about 1771 in Rowan Co NC. Ruth married second John Hinshaw, 24 Apr 1776, New Garden Monthly Meeting. John was born 11 Nov 1747, Grange, County Tyrone, Ireland. Ruth had twelve children.

Ruth PIKE and Michael WEISNER were married on 7 November 1761 in Cane Creek, Orange County, North Carolina. Michael WEISNER21 was born in 1740. He died circa 1771 at the age of 31.

Michael was born the 4th month (June) of 1740.

Ruth PIKE and John HINSHAW were married on 27 April 1776 in Guilford County, North Carolina. John HINSHAW21, son of Jesse HINSHAW and Abigail MARSHILL, was born in 1747 in County Tyrone, Ireland. He died on 22 September 1800 at the age of 53 in Stokes County, North Carolina.

John was born the 11d 8m [Oct] 1747. He was the son of Jesse Hinshaw, b. 25 Nov 1720, County Tyron, Ireland, d. 29 Apr 1797, Orange Co, NC - buried Cane Creek Cemetery and Abigail Marshill, b. ca 1721, d. 18 Mar 1806, the daughter of Benjamin Marshill & Ruth Bell. [Although Abigail's parents were not traced on "The Quaker Collection" website, other Marshills that married into the Hindshaw family were also from Ireland.

John and Ruth Pike were married at the New Garden Monthly Meeting, 1776.

After the death of Ruth in Dec of 1795, John married Mrs. Ann Haisley Philips, widow of John Philips; they were married at Deep River which was set off from New Garden in 1778. No children of that marriage.
