| Descendants of Roger MurphyI have found three generations of Roger Murphys. Presumably they are grandfather, father, and son. Some of the records are impossible to distinquish between the Rogers, particularly since I have no definite record of the deaths of either of the earlier Rogers. They lived in Guilford County, North Carolina, then Laurens and Pendleton Districts in South Carolina. The youngest of the Rogers had a daughter Bridget who married William Brown and left home in South Carolina for the wilds of Kentucky. Bridget's father and his other children moved soon after to Georgia. Bridget died in Kentucky, leaving at least three small children. I'm not sure that Bridget's parents and siblings ever even knew of her death. Bridget Murphy Brown was one of my great-great-great grandmothers and this is what I have found about her family.
