Warren, age 13, was living with William & Elizabeth Brown in Newton Co MO, 1850 Census. He also appears to be the male child under 5 living with them in Searcy Co AR in 1840. In 1860, William and Elizabeth had an 8 month old girl - Nancy. The Warren descendants have a tradition that William died of smallpox during the Civil War. Said to be buried at Rocky Comfort, but if so his grave is unmarked. His wife Elizabeth was married to John Bunch in July of 1867.

Elizabeth Bunch age 39, Nancy Jane Warren 17, Martha Ann Warren 15, John Davidson Bunch 8, Margaret Bunch 6, Georgie Allis Bunch 4. Apparently John Bunch was now deceased. In 1880, Elizabeth seems to be missing from the Census. Her children were living with a woman named Nancy Anderson, age 41, born in TN. Nancy had married William Washington Anderson and was living in Benton Co, AR in Walnut Twp. Father-in-law Pinckney Anderson lived next door to the above Nancy in Newton Co MO. The children living with Nancy were Martha A. age 18, John D. Bunch 11, Margaret J. 10, G. Alice 8. They are listed as daughters and son of "Nancy Anderson". Elizabeth Dabbs Warren Bunch would be about 42 this year - I think in transcribing the previous Anderson family, etc. the census enumerator misunderstood the lady's name or someone gave it to him wrong. I believe this really should have been Elizabeth Bunch. There is also a boarder in the household - Henry Russell, age 25, b. TN. Here is Pinckney Anderson's household in 1880. Pinckney, age 54, b. AR, Sarah E., daughter, age 21 and Nancy E., dau, age 15. Both girls also born in AR. Pinckney's Nancy is the last listing on page 262B; "Nancy Anderson" age 41 is the first listing on page 263C. Some family notes handed down in Debra Odekirk's family indicate that Elizabeth may have married a third time to a man named White, a Baptist Preacher. A search of the 1880 census reveals there was a clergyman in Newton Co MO named Pleasant M. White. He was 44 in 1880, just slightly older than Elizabeth Dabbs Warren Bunch. His wife Sarah, age 45, was living in 1880 and the had these children: James H. 18, Silas N. 16, Saml. H. 14, Samantha J. 11. 1900 census. McDonald Co, Richwood Twp, p.137, household 20.
