Thomas W and Ebalina Lewis moved to New Mexico from Bandera County, Texas in 1887 and settled in the Sacramento Mountains. Thomas Wafer Lewis passed away in Jim Lewis Canyon, Otero County, New Mexico, of pneumonia. Only five graves are noted in the cemetery - his and four young grandchildren.
Thomas Wafer LEWIS and Evalina GOODGION were married circa 1841. Evalina GOODGION was born on 22 January 1825 in Tennessee. She died on 22 April 1908 at the age of 83 in Uvalde County, Texas.
Some of this information seems unlikely and needs to be cross checked with other records. Evalina's parents said to be James Watson Goodgion (1801-1830) and Letticia Lyles (1801-1890) Leticia's place of death said to be White Co TN, as was her husband's.
Evalina's name is also found as Ebalina and that's how it is on her grave marker, Montell Cemetery, Montell, Uvalde Co, TX
