In 1850 Joseph & Nancy Jane Fox Mayberry lived near her parents in household 729. Joseph age 27, Nancy 21, Sarah 3, and William 1.

Eleven children for Joseph & Nancy are in The Mabry Family book. I have included only Francis because of the connection to the Fox and Pippin families.

[Jane Fox, if age 80, couldn't have been the mother of either William or his wife - believe this is his grandmother, Jane Birdwell Fox, and her unmarried daughter Polly S. Fox, who was closer to 57 than 43. Polly would have been William's aunt, not his sister.]

Joseph MAYBERRY and Nancy Jane FOX were married about 1847 in Jackson County, Tennessee.⁹¹ Nancy Jane FOX^52,92, daughter of William FOX and Jane "Jenny" BIRDWELL, was born on 23 April 1829 in Jackson County, Tennessee.⁹² She died on 16 June 1903 at the age of 74.⁹²

Nancy married Joseph Mayberry.

Joseph Mayberry was born 7 Nov 1820. He was the son of Seth Maybury of Jackson Co and his first wife. Seth has not been definitely linked to the Maburys of my family, but it is likely that he was a son of Francis Maybury, a trader & land speculator who came from Pittsylvania Co VA to TN as early as 1785, and perhaps earlier. Francis was likely a son of George Mabry of the 3rd generation. [George was a brother to my direct ancestor Isaac Mabry.]
