The Floyd Co VA Personal Property Tax Rolls show that Hiatt lived in Floyd Co from 1831 through 1850 [the years found on film]. In 1850, son Josh Montgomery appeared for the first time. Hiatt counted himself, one extra male over 16 after Joshua was old enough, and 1 or 2 horses.
