8. Joseph KELLAR3,12 served in the military in 1781–1784 at Capt of the 2nd Battalion, Militia, Shenandoah Co, VA in Revolutionary War. He died about 1812 in Jefferson County, Kentucky.

1789 Joseph Keller appears for the first time in Fayette Co KY tax lists.
1794. Joseph Kellar appears on the Jefferson Co Ky tax lists.

12 Oct 1796. Will of Henry Harding, Jefferson Co WB 1, p.70 Jos. Kellar was one of the witnesses. Will proved on 1 Nov 1796

It would seem that Joseph married a second time - to Mrs. Sarah [Estill] Beeler - on 1 Jul 1810 in Jefferson Co.

6 Apr 1818. Will of Joseph Kellar, Jefferson Co KY. To wife Sarah for life, dwelling, slave & $200 annually. To children Eliza, Isaac, Abraham, Rebecca & Sarah Keller, each a Bible & residue of estate.

Joseph KELLAR and Sarah NETHERTON were married on 4 October 1786 in Shenandoah County, Virginia.3 Sarah NETHERTON was born about 1768 in Frederick County, Virginia.3

Joseph KELLAR and Sarah NETHERTON had the following children:



Eliza KELLAR12 was born about 1790.3

The will of Eliza's stepmother, dated 2 Oct 1819, refers to her as "Betty" Evans. One of the witnesses to the will was Francis Evans, possibly Betty's husband.



Abraham KELLAR was born about 1793 in Jefferson County, Kentucky.3

Joseph KELLAR and Sarah ESTILL were married on 1 July 1810 in Jefferson County, Kentucky. Sarah ESTILL12 was born on 4 November 1749 in Augusta County, Virginia. She died in October 1819 at the age of 69 in Jefferson County, Kentucky.

I beleive the following to be the will of Joseph's wife Sarah Estill Beeler.
2 Oct 1819. Will of Sarah Kellar. Debts to be paid including one to my brother Isaac Estill. To Rebecca Kellar and to her sisters Betty Evans & Sarah Kellar, daughters of Joseph Kellar, dec'd, money.

Found online. Sarah Estill with a brother Isaac were children of Wallace Estill & his 2nd wife Mary Ann Campbell. Wallace was a captain inf the Revolution.
