1920 Census: John R. age 44, Virginia age 35, and three of the children. They lived on West Third Street. The date for the 1920 census was April 1 - Algernon S. Hampton born later that month would not have been counted. Also this Ward was Enumerated on 20 Jan 1902 before he was born - a census taken this early could not have correctly represented the population as of April 1st.

1930 Census, Little Rock AR. John R. Hampton was age 53, wife Virginia was 48. George was still at home, age 22, Catherine was 18, John Jr 16 and Algernon, 10. A couple, Theophilus and Louise Robinson were living in the home as servants. Hampton's occupation was "Vice Pres, Fire Insurance". Son George was working as a Merchant.

89	iii.	John Robinson HAMPTON Jr.135,143 was born on 25 September 1913 in Little Rock, Pulaski County, Arkansas.77 He died on 17 December 1991 at the age of 78 in Little Rock, Pulaski County, Arkansas. Married Irma Lincoln. Two children. Son was John R. Hampton III, born 24 Feb 1942, and daughter Irma Lincoln Hampton born 15 Jun 1952. Found birth and death dates in the Social Security Death Index.
90	iv.	Algernon Sidney HAMPTON143 was born on 4 April 1920.140 He died on 20 April 1997 at the age of 77 in Little Rock, Pulaski County, Arkansas.140
