Married by John Q. West, Elder. The family Bible states that they were married 17 Jun 1883, maybe John West was slow in recording the marriage.

Found in Dora Township in 1910 Crawford Co Census, age 51 born in AR, parents born in MS. Listed as a Merchant. Rosco, Fred and Eula still at home.
JoEllen remembers him as "Uncle Will"; "Aunt Ollie" was his wife. Marriage record found online lists wife as Ollie Wheeler. JoEllen thought he was probably older than John, but he married several years later.
From Freda Hays Barnett: Will was postmaster at Dora, farmed and had a cotton gin near Rena, owned two different stores in Van Buren & one in Muldrow, OK, had the strawberry patch on Mount Vista in partnership with his brother John.

William Richard HAYS and Oliva "Ollie" WHEELER were married on 28 June 1883 in Crawford County, Arkansas.^46,47,48 Oliva "Ollie" WHEELER⁹, daughter of Nathaniel WHEELER and Hulda [WHEELER], was born on 1 April 1863 in Fort Scott, Bourbon County, Kansas.^9,11,49 She died on 11 May 1959 at the age of 96 in Crawford County, Arkansas.^9,46,50

The Bible record of Ollie Hays states that she was born 1 Sep of 1863. [Or has been misread or mistranscribed.]

"Funeral for Mrs. Olie Hays, 94, of 1505 NW 39, who died Tuesday, will be Wednesday in First Christian Church, Van Buren, Ark., with burial in Fairview Cemetery there. A native of Fort Scott, Kan., Mrs. Hays had lived with a son here for 20 years. She is survived by her son, R. C., with whom whe lived; a daughter, Mrs. Eula Tabor, Albuquerque, N. M.,; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-greandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. Local arrangements are being handled by Guardian funeral home." [probably from an Oklahoma City newspaper]
