In 1930, Bernice was living with her new husband's family in Crawford Co AR. George M. Pense was head of household, age 46, had been married 20 years, b. AR, father b. AR, mother b. MS. He was a retail merchant at the General Store. George's wife was Hester A., age 42, b. AR, her parents born in Tennessee. Charles E., their son, age 20, also working at the General Store and just married to Bernice, age 17, daughter-in-law. The Pense family also had a daughter Thelma, age 17, and son Raymond, age 6.

Morris Teague told me she lived with her daughter Sue who had been in California 30 years or more. At some point she married for a second time. They lived in Sacramento.
