Catharine married Samuel Hinton on 3 Nov 1844, Carroll Co Illinois. She married (2) William McClay on 28 Aug 1851 in Carroll Co. He may have been married before as well. There may be two children buried in Jacobstown Cemetery in Carroll Co: David J. McClay d. 27 Jun 1852, aged 1y 9d; Alaxus McClay d. 25 Jul 1858, aged 9m 8d.

Alexis JACKSON was born in 1846 in Illinois.10 He died circa 1865 at the age of 19.

Found on the Internet - article about Jacob Wolfley.
States that John K. Wolfley was a volunteer in Co C, Illinois Vol. He was in Sherman's "march to the sea" through Georgia. Near the end of the war Wolfley was wounded in the foot by a rebel sharp hooter and Alexis Jackson was killed at the same time. After Wolfley was discharged from the hopital he returned home to Mt. Carroll.
