William HOPKINS Jr. and Mary N. "Polly" HADEN were married on 17 September 1806.¹ Mary N. "Polly" HADEN, daughter of Benjamin HADEN and Martha Davis MOORMAN, was born about 1787 in Campbell County, Virginia.¹⁴ She died before 1825 at the age of 38.³

John "D" Haden is a bit of a mystery. Polly's brother John is said to have died young of a fever - how young? And if his birth "guesstimate" is correct he would have been only 18. Anthony Haden's son John who married Rachel Reynolds also lived in Campbell Co, but he may have already gone to Kentucky by 1806.
