Pat Reid's papers show her born abt 1826, oldest child. But that is also the birth year of Frances M. as shown by the 1850 census. Sarah seems to have been younger.

According to family papers, Sarah & Dr. Holland raised her nephew, Byron Haden, who was born in 1870 and whose mother died when he was about six months old. He should have been with them in 1880 if this were true, but he is not - he is listed with his father and siblings.

The McCarley and Holland graves are in a family group in the Auburn Cemetery, Logan Co KY. Only grandson Tracy H. McCarley is not buried there. Nellie and Ashley appear to have never married.
