Overton served in Company E of the 1st VA Cavalry along with his brothers Socrates and Joel and cousin Benjamin James Haden.

Overton Davis HADEN and Millie B. CAMPBELL were married in February 1864 in Amherst County, Virginia.¹⁰ Millie B. CAMPBELL⁵²¹ was born in 1838 in Virginia.⁸⁸⁹

John R. Haden, age 32. Lucy A. 24. Cora B. 5, Overton L. 3, and Cornelia E. age 1. A Millie B. Haden, 32, was listed in the household but given the next family number.

Lucy, wife of John R., was also a Campbell. She was a daughter of Lewis & Eliza Campbell of Amherst Co and sister to Lou Campbell that married Overton's brother John.

In the Haden graveyard at Pleasant Grove House, Palmyra, Fluvanna Co, there is a grave for a Minnie B. Haden [picture of marker plainly says "Minnie"]. However, she was born 31 Dec 1836 and died 15 Oct 1879. I haven't found anyone else whose name was close.
