98. Sarah I.\J. "Sally" HADEN^309,310 was born about 1812 in Logan County, Kentucky.^93,250,311

Samuel Haden appointed guardian of Sally Haden "infant child of William Haden, Senior, Dec'd" She was apparently under age 10 in the 1820 census.

Name is no doubt Sarah. Her mother was named Sarah, called Sally. Marriage record shows name as Sarah; all Court Records as Sally.

Aug. Term 1826 motion by C. H. Blakey to settle with Samuel Haden on behalf of "Sally Blakey late Sally Haden"

"Whereas my son Churchill H. Blakey intermarried with Sally J. Haden who was possessed of certain negroes names Isham, William, Steven, Patsy & Rachel, and whereas by the decease of my said son without issue that title to the before mentioned negroe slaves passed to & became legally vested in me. Nevertheless believing as I do that justice acquires that the negroes aforesaid with all title thereto should be reinvested in said Sally the widow of said Churchill, Decd & from the regard which I entertain for my sd daughter-in-law & Also in consideration & satisfaction of any claim of Dower which she may have in & of the Estate of her Dec'd husband & of One dollar to me in hand paid, I George Blakey of the County of Logan & State of Kentucky do by these presents bargain sell alien & confirm to the said Sally Blakey all my interest & title to the above named negroes & their issue forever to her & her heirs forever against the claim of myself and heirs and of all persons claiming by through or under me but no other person. Logan County: I Spencer Curd clerk of said County Court do certify that the within Bill of sale from George Blakey to Sally J. Blakey was this day Acknowledged before me in my Office by said George Blakey to be his Act and Deed. In Testimony of which and that the same together with this certificate stands truly recorded in my Office. Thereunto Set my hand the 13th day of September 1828. Signed: Spencer Curd.

Court Order of June 1829 "Whereas at the last May Term of this Court Thomas Blakey was appointed guardian to Sally I. Blakey infant orphan of Wm Haden Dec'd now widow of Churchill H. Blakey dec'd and entered who acknowledged bond in the penal Sum of three thousand dollars with Wm Haden his security all of which was omitted to be noticed on the face of the record. It is now ordered that the Same Stand of record." This would also suggest Sally is not yet 21 in 1829, perhaps not even 18.

Sally received Lot #4 in the division of the lands of her father on 3 Aug 1829. 93 acres. Her land bordered that of the Shakers.

Logan Co DB Q, p.158 6 Jul 1829 Sally Blakey by Spencer Curd, Commissioner, sold to Thomas Blakey 93 acres of land. Blakey was highest bidder at $200. Rec. 28 Nov 1829. [He was a brother of Sally's deceased husband Churchill, also married to her niece Ann Whitsett.]

A Rosa Watson was living as a lodger in the household of Robert & Melinda Hammer. She was born May 1852, age 48, and single - obviously her birth year is incorrect or it isn't the same lady.

Sarah I.\J. "Sally" HADEN and Dr. Churchill Haden BLAKEY were married on 27 February 1826 in Logan County, Kentucky.^{112,260,312,313} Dr. Churchill Haden BLAKEY³¹⁴, son of George BLAKEY and Margaret "Peggy" WHITSITT, was born on 7 August 1799 in Logan County, Kentucky.^112,315 He died on 23 September 1826 at the age of 27 in Georgia.^315,316

p.257 On the motion of Thomas Blakey and at Mrs. Blakey's request and having taken the oath required by Law and Executed Bond in the penalty of $3000 with Wm Haden & James Proctor his Securities Letters of Administration is granted him on the Goods & Chattles of Churchill H. Blakey, Decd.
