417. Anthony Winston HADEN539 was born on 17 August 1808 in Fluvanna County, Virginia.539,540 He died on 3 May 1864 at the age of 55 in Madison County, Alabama.541,542

According to "John Haden of Virginia", Anthony was a blacksmith in Jackson Co AL. He was a postmaster at Maysville, AL and a Justice of the Peace, 1840. Signed marriage certificates during that year. "Alabama Records" Vol. 38, Madison County by Pauline Jones Gandred pp.60-80

Interesting that no Adelia Tate Haden was in this family in 1850 - she should have been age 12.

I have been unable to find any of this family in 1860, other than possibly the eldest son, W. E. Haden in Texas.

Anthony Winston HADEN and Casandra FLANAGAN were married on 1 June 1826 in Madison County, Alabama.543 Casandra FLANAGAN, daughter of Ambrose FLANAGAN and Dianah [FLANAGAN], was born about 1809.

Married Dr. Francisco Rice, b. 1822 Madison Co AL, d. 1896 in Huntsville, Madison Co, AL. She was the second wife of three. They married about 1861, Madison Co.



Elizabeth M. HADEN was born about 1839.539



George A. HADEN was born about 1842.539

A George A. Haden served in the Confederacy as a Private, in Co. B of the 13th Texas Cavalry (Burnett's) (13th Mounted Volunteers). This George would be about the right age but I don't know if this is his record.



William S. HADEN was born about 1846.539
