Mark Anthony HADEN and Margaret Henry EARLY were married circa 1882 in Campbell County, Virginia.343 Margaret Henry EARLY, daughter of Abner EARLY and Mary Ann KABLER, was born on 4 April 1849 in Campbell County, Virginia. She died on 11 November 1921 at the age of 72 in Campbell County, Virginia.

Evington, Nov 18 [1921] -- Mrs. Margaret Early Haden, after a short illness, died Friday night in her seventy-third year, she having been born April 13, 1849.
She was a daughter of Abner Early and Ann Kabler and on her father's side, she was a descendent of Bishop Early of Lynchburg, and a relative of General Jubal A. Early of Confederate fame. In 1877 she was married to Mark Anthony Haden.
Early in life she became a member of the Otterwood Presbyterian, of which church she remained a member, and where on Sunday morning a large congregation attended the funeral services which were conducted by Rev. W. G. Jones, of Lynch Station.
The pallbearers were Dr. N. L. Kabler, Dr. J. S. Irvine, Dr. C. W. Haden, Messrs. F. G. West, A. T. Little, and John W. Anthony. In the church the choir sang "Savior Thy Dying Love" and "Nearer My God to Thee"
The flowers were carried by Mrs. Wayne Leftwich, Mrs. Jack Langhorne, Mrs. Joe Bass, Mrs. Lee Barnes, Misses Ava Hicks, Jennie Goodman, Charles Anthony and Annie Anthony.
Mrs. Haden leaves a daughter, Mrs. J. L. Bell of Bedford County; two grandsons, J. L. Bell Jr. of Evington, and William Haden Payne of Charlottesville; a brother H. K. Early of West Virginia, and a sister, Mrs. E. G. Haden of Charlottesville.

Married William Thomas Payne after 1910. They had one son, William Haden Payne. It's likely she died in childbirth.



Mary Louise HADEN was born on 10 December 1886 in Evington, Campbell County, Virginia. She died on 22 March 1932 at the age of 45 in Bedford County, Virginia.
