Sylvester Gabbard, 88, died at his home near Cass Tuesday at 1:20 p.m. and his funeral service will be held at the Greer Funeral chapel here Saturday at 2 p.m. with burial at Morgan cemetery near Fly Gap.
A native of Kentucky, Mr. Gabbard was born July 28, 1866 and had lived in this section for many years. He was a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife; two sons; John of Waterloo, Ia., and Ben of Ojai, Ca.; four daughters, Mrs. Eva Elam of Fayettevile, Mrs. Nancy Ann Davis of Chelan Falls, Wash., Mrs. Mae Davis of Elkins, Mrs. Rachel Newton of Cass; four brothers, George of Oklahoma, and Jim and Louis of Elkins, and Tom of Stilwell, Ok.; two sisters, Mrs. Sarah Stevens of Fayetteville and Mrs. Nancy Black of Garfield; 28 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren.

Sylvester GABBARD and Sarah Jane CRAWFORD were married.51 Sarah Jane CRAWFORD was born on 20 May 1875 in Madison County, Arkansas. She died on 22 December 1957 at the age of 82 in Madison County, Arkansas.

Funeral services for Mrs. Sarah Jane Gabbard, 82, were held Tuesday, Dec 24 at 2 p.m. from Greer's chapel, with Rev. Ton Yandall of the Ozark Calvary Baptist Church officiating. Burial was the Morgan cemetery at Fly Gap.
Mrs. Gabbard died Sunday Dec 22 at the Pisstrom Rest Home after an extended illness. She was born May 20, 1875 in Madison County.
Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Charles Davis and Mrs. W. D. Elam of Fayetteville, Mrs. J. C. Davis of Chelan, Wash. and Mrs. Wilson Newton of Ozark; two sons, John of Waterloo, Ia., and Ben of Woodland, Ca., one sister, Mrs. Fan VanBrunt of Little Rock, and a brother, Robert Crawford, St. Paul.
