Walter and Irene moved to Ladonia to live near his parents George W. and Mary Adams Fry. He died suddenly in 1905. His mother Mary Adams Fry, died about 4 weeks after her son - doctor said from the shock. Irene and daughters lived on with Grandpa George W. Fry until Irene remarried.

Walter G. FRY and Nannie Irene BYRUM were married on 23 July 1902 in Wellington, Collingsworth County, Texas.²²² Nannie Irene BYRUM¹⁷⁰ was born on 28 August 1881 in Tennessee. She died on 18 September 1957 at the age of 76 in Amarillo, Potter County, Texas.¹⁸¹

Texas Death Certificate #51292 Nannie Irene Haile died at the Underwood Clinic in Amarilla, Potter Co, TX. She had lived in Amarilla for 11 years; address was 2115 Parker - the same residence her husband had given in 1948. She was widowed. Seh was born 28 Aug 1881 in Tennessee. Her parents were Ralph Byrum and Nancy Turner, both born in Tennessee. She died 18 Sept 1957 at age 76 years, 20 days. She died of a chronic duodenal ulcer with bleeding and cerebral thrombosis. B. H. Haile, son, was the informant. She was buried Citizens Cemetery, Clarendon, Texas.

She married William Burder Haile on August 28, 1913 in Ladonia, TX. From a previous marriage he had 6 young children. Together they had one child, Bryum Hodges Haile born July 5, 1915.

Lived in Skellytown, TX FindAGrave.com does not have the grave record of Mary but did have the following information. Birth: Jul. 1, 1903 Texas, USA Death: Nov. 13, 1981 Hutchinson County Texas, USA Mary Evelyn Fry Gray was the daughter of George Walter Fry and Nannie Irene Byrum. Her father died when she was very young and her mother married William Burder Haile in 1913...bringing her two girls into his family of six children. Mary married Oscar Buel Gray on September 12, 1920.
509	ii.	Walta Ethel FRY118,170 was born on 4 April 1905.118 She died on 9 June 1987 at the age of 82 in Amarillo, Potter County, Texas. Married Paul Russ according to Laura Milton; she had this child as "Walta" a daughter. In 1910, child listed as male, grandson, age 5, definitely named Walter. She was also listed as Walter, but a female, in 1920. FindAGrave.com had no record of her burial, but did have the following information. Birth: Apr. 4, 1905 Texas, USA Death: Jun. 9, 1987 Potter County Texas, USA Walta Fry was the daughter of Nannie Irene Byrum and George Walter Fry. Her father died when she was very young, and her mother married second William Burder Haile who had six young children. Walta married Paul Russ on August 12, 1925. They eventually settled in Amarillo, Potter Co, TX.
