A son listed as "Gilbert" was named as living at home in the divorce petition of his mother.
Death Certificate states he was a Veterinarian. This connection of this William as being the same as the William of this family seems certain given the information on the death certificate.

William Gilbert DENNIS and Frances Arzella "Fannie" PIPPIN were married on 16 December 1869.⁹⁶ Frances Arzella "Fannie" PIPPIN^96,97, daughter of James Willis "Nig" PIPPIN and Alice BARNES, was born on 20 December 1851 in Jackson County, Tennessee.^93,95 She died on 13 June 1921 at the age of 69 in Nampa, Canyon County, Idaho.⁹⁸ Buried at Ozark, Missouri, as are several members of this family.

"Arzila" on cemetery marker according to Sharon K. Palmer. Moved to Missouri and were living there in 1916 according to Pippin Pathways.
