Lora Tindall has a birth year of 1812 for Fox Chaffin, but that seems to be in error based on the census and also his date of marriage to Jane Fox as 1857.

Fox C. CHAFFIN and Jane FOX were married in 1857.⁶ Jane FOX, daughter of John Kendrick FOX and Margaret CARTER, was born on 20 May 1836 in Tennessee.^6,16 She died about 1900 at the age of 64.⁶
