37. John Kendrick FOX^6,16 was born on 16 October 1808 in Jackson County, Tennessee.⁶ He died on 21 July 1878 at the age of 69 in Jackson County, Tennessee.⁶

The bondsman at the marriage of John & Margaret Carter was Bartlett A. Fox, no doubt his brother.

In 1850 John was in Dist 11 along with his brothers and sister. John K. Fox age 41, Margaret 36, Rachel 17, Mary 16, Meradith 14, Elizabeth 9, Jane 13, Benjamin 7, Parazetta 4, Leathy 2, and Nancy 1.

1860: John K. Fox age 51, Margaret 47. Rachel 22 [hasn't aged quite 10 years], Arthur age 20, Benjamin age 17, Paratecha 14, Aletha 12, and Nancy 10, Mary 9, Eletta 7, and Franklin 6.

John Kendrick FOX and Margaret CARTER were married on 20 June 1827 in Rutherford County, Tennessee.⁶ Margaret CARTER was born in 1814 in Tennessee.¹⁶

Margaret may have been a few years older than what she told the census taker. Doubt that she was thirteen when she married, but she probably was very young.

Rachel never married. The 1900 census gives her birth as May 1833. She was living with her sister Nancy Rash.

An Arthur is listed as age 20 with this family in 1860. The age may be off since Rachel was listed as 22 and she was in fact 28. There was no Meredith found.

Arthur A. FOX^24,25 was born in January 1840 in Tennessee.²⁴ He died on 19 June 1911 at the age of 71 in Jackson County, Tennessee.²⁵

They lived next door to Meredith A. Fox, a first cousin.
In the 1900 census, Arthur A. is listed as a brother-in-law to Thomas Rash who was married to Nancy Fox. Arthur has not been listed in other compilations of this family and the birth doesn't work out with other children, but he apparently does belong in the family.
I found a possible Death Certificate for Mr. A. A. Fox who died June 19, 1911. He was apparently 71 years old and Single. He died of Heart Trouble and was said born in Jackson Co TN.

Elizabeth FOX was born on 21 July 1841 in Jackson County, Tennessee.^16,26,27 She died on 18 February 1917 at the age of 75 in Jackson County, Tennessee.⁶

Benjamin FOX²⁸ was born in 1843 in Tennessee.^6,16 He died on 13 February 1919 at the age of 76 in Cookeville, Putnam County, Tennessee.²⁸
There is a death certificate for Ben B. Fox that could be this man. His age was estimated as about 82, or born 1837 [he wasn't quite that old] and he was said to have been married at the time of his death, 13 Feb 1919. Newton Fox was the informant and didn't know the name of his father but said his mother was a Carter. He was suppose to have paralysis of some kind - he was sick about two weeks but had no doctor. He was buried Fox GraveYard.

Franklin Pierce FOX^{6,29,30,31,32,33} was born on 3 July 1853 in Jackson County, Tennessee.⁶ He died on 28 May 1924 at the age of 70 in Jackson County, Tennessee.⁶
Franklin married Sarah Ann Rash on 17 Mar 1869. He was a member of the Court in Jackson Co for 12 years and served in the TN General Assembly 1913-1915.

His death certificate lists his parents as John K. Fox and Peggy Jane Carter. Reese Fox was the informant. He had epithelioma of the upper lip and nose. - his wife was still living at the time of his death. He is buried Fox Cemetery in Jackson Co.
Her death certificate has Sarah Ann Polly Fox. Born 27 Dec 1845 and died 8 Dec 1928. She had gangrene of the foot. She was buried Fox Cemetery. Jno W. Fox was the informant, apparently their son. Her parents were listed as Wm Rash, born in Alabama and Peggy Bean, b. TN.

A son was John William Fox, born 30 Sep 1872, died 9 Oct 1951 of nephritis and cystitis complicated by uremia. He was a retired minister and listed as married but no spouse's name given. Parents were Frank P. Fox and Polly Ann Rash. Robert Fox was the informant. He was buried Rash Cemetery, Jackson Co.
Another son was James Russell Fox, born 15 Nov 1879, died 18 Dec 1954 of coronary thrombosis. Donald Fox was the informant and gave the parents as F. P. Fox and Sarah Rash. He was married but again there is no place for the spouse's name. He is buried Fox Family Cemetery.
A third son was Benjamin Franklin Fox, who died 4 May 1934. Nathan Fox was the informant and listed parents as Franklin P. Fox and Sarah Rash. He was found dead, died supposedly of apoplexy as he had high blood pressure for some years. He was 59 years, 6 months and 24 days - this computes to a birthdate of 10 Oct 1874. He was a widower at the time of his death. Death Certificate of Henry Louis Fox, b. 10 May 1872 and died 17 Feb 1945 gives his parents as Ben Franklin Fox and Jane Hall, borth Putnam Co. Henry's wife was Lydia, age 62 in 1945. He died of influenza complicated by pneumonia, age 72.
