Eighth Generation

297. Edith Juanita PIPPIN156 was born on 14 July 1919 in Ladonia, Fannin County, Texas.121 She died on 7 July 2008 at the age of 88 in Cleburne, Johnson County, Texas.138

In 1940, Juanita and Jack were living in Pecan Gap, Delta Co TX. He was 22, she was 20 and Mary G. age 2. The enumerator wrote the surname as Dearthergh and gave his name as "Jock" and hers as "Imogine". The next couple's wife was an Imogine - that's the only way I can think he came up with the name. The index was even worse ...but there's no question this is the right coupls.

Found Juanita in the Social Security Death index. She lived to be almost 89 years old. Her last Social Security benefit was sent to Mead, Bryan County, OK. where her brother Jimmy [also deceased] and his wife lived. That is where they were living when Jack Deatherage died; possibly both are buried there.
