Jeremiah Comstock was liable for highways in Smithfield, 1748.

8 Oct 1751. Jeremiah Comstock and wife Phebe of Smithfield deeded 150 acres to John Harris.

Jeremiah was listed as a freeeman from Smithfield in 1751 and 1752.

He was admitted to vote in Gloucester, RI, 30 Apr 1754. He is on a list of freemen there in that year.

1774 Census. Jeremiah Comstock in Cloucester, 2 males above age 16, 2 females.

28 Oct 1778. Jeremiah Comstock of Gloucester deeded one acre to John White.

4 Oct 1787. Jeremiah Comstock of Danby VT, deeded Esek Comstock of Gloucester a farm of 40 acres, where Esek now lives.

Will was probated Feb. 1792.

Jeremiah's widow, married (2nd) Hilliard.

26 Jan 1795. Phebe Hilliard of Danby, Rutland Co VT, made her son David Comstock of the same place her attorney to what was due from the estate of her father Joseph Arnold, and her mother Patience Arnold, of Smithfield.

Jeremiah COMSTOCK and Phebe ARNOLD were married on 25 October 1747 in Smithfield, Providence County, Rhode Island.^81,119,150 Phebe ARNOLD¹¹⁹, daughter of Joseph ARNOLD and Patience WILKINSON, was born on 18 November 1729.¹¹⁹

Jeremiah COMSTOCK and Phebe ARNOLD had the following children:

345	i.	Esek COMSTOCK was born (date unknown). Esek married Hannah Carey, 22 Mar 1770
346	ii.	David COMSTOCK was born in 1757 in Gloucester, Providence County, Rhode Island. He died on 9 August 1846 at the age of 89 in Pawlet, Rutland County, Vermont. David married Rachel Harrington. Thompson, Windham Co CT Deeds Vol. 3, p.103 20 Jun 1797 Adam Johnston of Danby, County of Rutland, State of Vermont, physician, for $330.50 sell to David Comstock of Pawlett one parcel of land in Thompson, CT. Bounded easterly on the Rhode Isalnd line. 42 acres. Purchased of Noah Pratt of Rutland. Signed: Adam Johnston. Wit: Daniel Hewit, Caty Hewit. Rec'd & Recorded 25 Feb 1798, Jacob Dresser, Register, Thompson. Vol. 5, p.314-315 25 Sep 1809 David Comstock of Pawlet, VT, sold 42 acres in Thompson on the Rhode Island line to Arnold Hunt for $110.
347	iii.	Levina COMSTOCK was born (date unknown). Levina married Amos Brown, 29 Mar 1780 [Gloucester marriages]
348	iv.	Europa COMSTOCK was born (date unknown). Europa is listed as a child of Jeremiah & Phebe in Comstock Family in America - with no further information. New England Families Genealogical & Memorial, Vol. IV states that "Europe" Comstock was the wife of John Hunt, 2nd who was a soldier in the Revolution in Capt Joseph Daniel's Co. They later lived in Lancaster, MA. There are names among their children that suggest Europa has been place properly. Children: Sylvester, Otis b. 23 Aug 1775, John, Lovina [after Europa's sister?], Sophia, Jeremiah [after her father?], Washington, Martha Dandridge, Keziah, Phebe b. 9 Nov 1793 [after her mother?], Peleg who d. 26 Dec 1838, Sally & Amos.
