831. Henry COMSTOCK was born in 1837 in Great Barrington, Berkshire County, Massachusetts. He died before 1900 at the age of 63.
I have never found Henry in 1860 - he would have been about 17. He wasn't living with his mother or any of his siblings.

I did not find them in subsequent Kansas Censuses and by 1900 Henry was deceased.
Henry COMSTOCK and Mary Elizabeth GARNER were married on 24 June 1862 in Poweshiek County, Iowa. Mary Elizabeth GARNER was born on 28 February 1843 in Virginia. She died on 17 May 1924 at the age of 81 in Lexington, Lafayette County, Missouri.
Mary was living with her son Henry and his family in Lafayette Co, MO in 1900, 1910, and 1920. In 1910, she said she had 10 children, 4 living. I have found only six.
Mary's death certificate [Missouri #15183] says that her father was John Garner. W. E. Comstock of Lexington was the informant. The death certificate of daughter Lillie, states her mother was Marie Eliz. Clark - Mrs. Mary Jenkins was the informant. Lillie's twin, William Comstock's death certificate gives his mother's name as Mary Eliz. Burton. [Actually William's wife's mother was Elizabeth Burton so that may be the source of that error.]
Mary died of Diabetes, at home. She was a widow. The informant knew nothing about her mother.
I have tried to find a John Garner living in Iowa in 1860, just prior to Mary's marriage to Henry Comstock, but have not found him.
Henry COMSTOCK and Mary Elizabeth GARNER had the following children:
Sarah Angeline COMSTOCK was born in 1865 in Iowa.
Mary M. COMSTOCK was born in August 1869 in Iowa. She died before 1875 at the age of 6.
L. S. COMSTOCK was born in 1872 in Iowa. He died before 1880 at the age of 8.
Lillie Jane COMSTOCK was born in November 1874 in Jewell County, Kansas. She died on 8 June 1945 at the age of 70 in Lexington, Lafayette County, Missouri.
Lillie's birth date on her death certificate was given as 2 Nov 1874. Her twin William's birth on his death certificate was 9 Nov 1874. Obviously one of these, maybe both, is wrong. They were five months old when the census was taken in Kansas in 1875.
Lillie married Fletcher William Stratton, son of Henry Stratton and Susan Jane Boyce, 5 Aug 1893 in Lexington, Lafayette Co MO.
1900 Census. Lexington, Lafayette Co, MO, Hh 198
