82. Samuel COMSTOCK was born after 1700.2 He died about 1787 at the age of 87.

Although the John A. Comstock books says that Samuel married 1st to Silence Tiffany, daughter of Nathan Tiffany - she seems instead to have been Silence Sears, daughter of Silence Tiffany and an unknown Sears. Silence died 28 Aug 1750, age 21.

24 Jun 1751, Samuel Comstock of Lyme deeded to the heirs of Nathan Tiffany, one-third of a tract which belonged to his wife Silence, deceased.

The children were all baptized at Hadleyme, CT, the three sons all on the same day.

Samuel COMSTOCK and Silence SEARS were married about 1749 in Lyme, New London County, Connecticut.2 Silence SEARS49, daughter of ?Silas SEARS and Silence TIFFANY, was born in 1729 in Lyme, New London County, Connecticut.49 She died on 28 August 1750 at the age of 21 in Lyme, New London County, Connecticut.49

Silence was probably an only child for she inherited the entire Joshua's Town property of her mother. After her death Samuel Comstock with approval of the heirs of Nathan Tiffany sold to their uncle John Harvey.

Samuel COMSTOCK and Elizabeth [COMSTOCK] were married.2 Elizabeth [COMSTOCK] was born (date unknown).

28 Jan 1788 - agreement between the widow and children, all of lawful age, about the settlement of the estate of Samuel Comstock, late of Lyme. The widow was now Elizabeth Ackley of East Haddam. One part to each of the following: the widow; Jehiel Comstock of Lyme; Samuel Comstock of Marlow, NH; Cyrus Comstock also of Marlow; Silence Comstock of Lyme. Boundary of the lands of Lt. Jabez Comstock of Lyme is mentioned. Samuel & Cyrus acknowledged their signatures at Marlow, NY, 18 Jun 1788.

Samuel COMSTOCK and Elizabeth [COMSTOCK] had the following children:



Jehiel COMSTOCK was christened on 17 October 1756. He died before 29 April 1833.

Jehiel was baptized at Hadlyme, 11 Oct 1756. In 1779, he was one of the crew of the frigate "Confederacy". He was living in Royalton, Niagara, New York in 1832 when he made out his will which was probated 29 Apr 1833. His only relative at the time of his death was his brother Samuel of Cheshire, New Hampshire.









Silence Sears COMSTOCK49 was christened on 11 May 1760.



Elizabeth COMSTOCK was christened on 20 June 1762. She died before 1788.
