Comstock books says that Samuel married 1st to Silence Tiffany, daughter of Nathan Tiffany - she seems instead to have been Silence Sears, daughter of Silence Tiffany and an unknown Sears. Silence died 28 Aug 1750, age 21. 24 Jun 1751, Samuel Comstock of Lyme deeded to the heirs of Nathan Tiffany, one-third of a tract which belonged to his wife Silence, deceased. The children were all baptized at Hadleyme, CT, the three sons all on the same day. Samuel COMSTOCK and Silence SEARS were married about 1749 in Lyme, New London County, Connecticut.2 Silence SEARS47, daughter of ??? SEARS and Silence TIFFANY, was born in 1729 in Lyme, New London County, Connecticut.47 She died on 28 August 1750 at the age of 21 in Lyme, New London County, Connecticut.47 Silence was probably an only child for she inherited the entire Joshua's Town property of her mother. After her death Samuel Comstock with approval of the heirs of Nathan Tiffany sold to their uncle John Harvey. The widow was now Elizabeth Ackley of East Haddam.
