98. William PERKINS was born on 21 July 1785 in Goochland County, Virginia.44,63 He died on 8 November 1849 at the age of 64 in Martinsville, Henry County, Virginia.44,54 He was buried in Fontaine Cemetery, Henry County, Virginia.66

William Perkins Senr is in the 1850 Mortality Schedule. Died in November 1849 Henry Co, VA, age 65, farmer, cause of death - paralysis. He was ill for six days.

William PERKINS and Rebecca "Becky" MILLER were married on 25 December 1811 in Henry County, Virginia.54 Rebecca "Becky" MILLER, daughter of John Dabney MILLER and Sarah CURD, was born (date unknown).

William PERKINS and Martha Hale DANDRIDGE were married on 13 March 1830 in Henry County, Virginia.54 Martha Hale DANDRIDGE, daughter of Nathaniel West DANDRIDGE and Sarah Bigger WATSON, was born on 23 September 1795 in Hanover County, Virginia.54,67 She died on 7 April 1875 at the age of 79 in Martinsville, Henry County, Virginia.54

Martha Hale Dandridge was a first cousin of Martha Washington - actually a first cousin twice removed.

Daughter of Nathaniel West and Sarah "Salley" Bigger Watson Dandridge.
She was born in Hanover Co., Va. at "Yellow House". She was married first to Col. William Winston Fontaine, (a grandson of Patrick Henry thru his daughter, Martha, who had married John Fontaine).
William was born at "Leatherwood" in Henry Co. Va. He and Martha were married on Jan. 16, 1810 in Goochland Co., Va. Their children were William Spotswood Fontaine, Patrick Henry Fontaine, and Anne Fontaine. William died enroute home from Alabama at the age of 30 in 1816. He is buried in an unmarked grave in Abington. (State was not mentioned.)
She later married William Perkins, on March 13, 1830 in Henry Co. Va. He died on Nov. 8, 1849 in Martinsville, (Henry Co.) Va. They had supposedly lived next door to the "Presbyterian church" in Martinsville.
Martha was a descendant of Gov. Spotswood of Virginia.
