ACTS.
4th. Voted, to Leave it with ye Select men to Adjust all accounts wherein the town is Indebted to particular persons which
Doth, not come under ye care of any Committees.
5th. Jacob Adams presenting a platt of a piece of Land In the Highway against his own Land for Conveniency of Building proposed to
ye Town to Layout Land upon--a good Right upon it, and allow ye Town Twenty Shillings which proposal
ye Town accepted, and by a Clear vote Relinquished their Right to sd Land, accordingly, the

Land is as followeth, viz. Suffield Nov. ye, 30th, 1730. We the Subscribers, being appointed by the Town to view a certain place in the Highway at Crooked Lane in order to accomodate
Corpll Jacob Adams with a part thereof for couveniency to Set his House, and having been upon the place, and
considered all circumstances Relating thereto, Do advance what followeth as our opinion,
viz.-: That saving the Highway Elven Rods in breadth on the West side thereof it is not so Inconveniant and prejudicial to
ye Highway, but that we Judge it proper and Reasonable that ye Town in order to gratifie
ye sd Adams Do Relinquish their Right in sd Highway to the contain of about Three Quarters of an acre on the East side thereof, and according to the
following Description, that is to say, to begin at a Stake and Stone being the
Bounds Dividing between Land formerly Laid out to sd Adams and Land he bought of Caleb
Allen, thence runing North about fifteen Degrees West about Ten Perch, thence
Runing, North East according to ye Rang of sd Highway, Six Rods, then to turn more Easterly Runing a straight Course about 18 or 20 Rods to ye
North Corner of sd Adams his own
Land thence south west by sd Adms his own Land to ye place where it began.

6th. Voted, to allow Ten Shillings to manage Edward Baker's business at
ye General Court.
Att a Legal meeting of ye Freeholders and other Inhabitants of the Town of Suffield Quallified for voters, November
ye 24th, 1730.
Decon John Mixer was chosen Moderatour to order sd meeting.
1st. Voted, to chouse a Committee to take care for Removing Incumbrances of
Highwaies for one year Next Insuing and other things Necessary Relating to waies & Bridges.
2d. Voted, Joshua Leavitt, Joseph King, & John Kent, be a Committee, and hereby are fully Impowered to Remove all ordinary Incumbrances that are or may be,
ye year Insuing upon my of ye Town waies and where they may find any Incumbrance, where there may arise or be any Dispute Respecting Interests, or any other thing that may be Adjusted by an agreement that
sd Committee shall agree with the persons concerned therein as well as may be Respecting both Publick and private Interest therein Concerned, and make Return to
ye Town for their Confirmation.
3d. Voted, that the sd Committee Do forthwith se that ye Bridge over
Rawlinges Brook be forthwith made good and feazable and that the Town be at ye charge of a causey from
ye Hill to ye North End of ye Bridge as it is now built provided; John Burbank Do give to
sd Committee a sufficien Bond to make and maintain a good and feazable Bridge over
sd Brook where it is now errected. (See pp. 235, 236.)
