21 Dec 1717, d. 1809. Nathan resided in Westhampton. Jerusha
was living at Beaverdams (Westhampton), according to the 1790 Census.
By his father's will, Nathan was to inherit "all his lands and meadows
in Apocock Neck, one right of commonage in the West Purchase, from Apocock
Neck West and half a lot in Cedar Swamp, Riverhead". Nathan and Jerusha
are said to have been buried, without tombstones, on Apaucuck Neck, Westhampton.
Apaucuck Neck is west of Beaverdam Stream, which was called Pocock River
in old deeds. Nathan apparently left no will, but the testament of
his widow, Jerusha, May 24 1801, proved August 26, 1809, names her daughters,
Phoebe,
Mehetable,
Martha
and her heirs (Lib. C, Suffolk County Wills).

Esther was d/o John (or Josiah) and Clementine (HOLMAN or HOMAN) WOODHULL
of Wading River. Both William and Esther are bur. in the Westhampton
Cemetery. William was listed in the 1776 Census as Head of a Family in
Southampton Town. William was listed in the 1800 U.S. Census for
Southampton Town: Males - 2 under 10, 2 10-26, 1 45+; Females - 3 under
10, 1 16-26, 1 26-45, 1 45+.

4-11. HUGH RAYNOR (Jonathan, Jonathan,
Thurston), b. 1725 (or 1724 or 9 June 1722), d. 1802, Southampton; m. Sarah
HALSEY (or HORTON), b. 1725, d. 26 Mar 1806, at the age of 81
yrs., bur. Quogue. Hugh was an early settler of Tanners Neck, Westhampton;
he owned property west of Beaverdam River. Sarah was bur. in the
plot of her son-in-law, Henry JESSUP of Quogue (HISTORY OF SUFFOLK
COUNTY, H. W. MUNSELL). His father (Jonathan), by his will, gave
to Hugh and his male heirs a lot in Little "Onuck", and his home lot and
buildings in Southampton. Hugh's will, dated 12 Mar 1799 and proved 22
Dec 1802, names wife, Sarah, sons, Stephen and Henry,
the latter to have lands and a mill at Setuck River, daughters, Jane
JESSUP,
Phoebe FOSTER and Abigail TUTHILL, children
of daughter,
Prudence PIERSON, and son, James, who is to
have the residue of the estate. James sold his grandfather's homestead
in Southampton to Elie PELLETREAU in 1812 (Lib. B, 218, Suffolk County
Wills, N.Y. Hist. Soc. Coll., 1894, p. 325). Hugh was listed in the
1776 Census as Head of a Family in Southampton Town, with three males and
five females. Hugh RAYNOR was listed in the 1800 U.S. Census for
Southampton Town: Males - 1 45+; Females - 1 45+.
