Spiced Pumpkin Bread

3 cups sugar
1 cup cooking oil
4 eggs, beaten
2/3 cup water
1 16 ounce can pumpkin
Sift together:
3 1/2 cups all purpose flour
2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. all spice
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. ground cloves

Sift together all dry ingredients. Cream all wet ingredients, except water. Adding alternately to the creamed mixture, add dry ingredients and water. Put batter in prepared pans: either three loaf pans or one large bundt pan. Bake at 350 degrees: loaves for 45 minutes or bundt for 1 hour. Makes 3 loaves or one large bundt.
