Meema's Fruit Cocktail Cake

2 cups Flour
1 1/2 cups Sugar
2 teaspoons Baking soda
1 teaspoon Salt
2 Eggs
1 3 ounce can Fruit Cocktail
1 teaspoon Vanilla
1 stick Butter
1/2 cup Milk
1 cup Sugar
1/2 cup Nuts, Chopped
1/2 cup Coconut

Mix flour, sugar, baking soda, and salt together. Beat eggs slightly and add with the fruit cocktail. Add to the flour mixture. Mix well. Bake in oblong cake pan 30 minutes at 350 degrees. While hot spread the following topping: Bring butter, milk and sugar to a boil for 2 minutes. Stir in nuts and coconut.
