Date Nut Torte

1 6 oz package Zwieback Toast, finely crushed (2 cups crumbs)
1/2 teaspoon Cinnamon
1/2 cup Coarsely Chopped Walnuts
2 Eggs
1/2 cup Sugar
1 teaspoon Grated Orange Rind
1/2 cup Butter, melted
1/2 cup Sour cream
1 cup Dates, Chopped

Combine Zwieback crumbs, cinnamon, and nuts. Beat egg with sugar until pale and lemon colored. Add orange rind. Stir into dry ingredients. Add butter, sour cream, and dates. Mix thoroughly. Pour into a greased 8 inch square pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 to 45 minutes. Serve warm topped with whipped cream or favorite sauce.
