Charles WORSLEY

Mr. & Mrs. Charles Worsley came to Featherston in the 1860's. Worked felling bush and cutting timber for post and rail fences. One of the first shearers. Settled in the Rimutaka Hill valley. First home was of pit sawn timber. Children were: Mary Ann WORSLEY.

Died of cancer in Greytown Hospital. Had dreadful bedsores, had to be kept outside the hospital in a tent, because of the smell.
