There's something about genealogy that connects people in a way that can't be explained. Maybe it's because we experience the magic and excitement of discovering our ancestors and learning who we really are. Unless someone has started the adventure of genealogy they never understand why we are thrilled when we uncover an ancestor or meet a relative we didn't know we had. Since I started researching my family tree I feel more connected and centered.

I've always been proud to say I'm a sixth generation Texan. However, since researching my family tree I find my roots and branches reach to all parts of the South,
some stretch to Europe and beyond.
