McCURDY, Jessie Mae, of Ypsilanti Township, formerly of Milford, MI; age 79; passed away Tuesday, June 12, 2001 at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital following an extended illness.  She was born May 13, 1922 in Nankin Township, the daughter of William H. and Theresa T. (Linderman) Beagle.  On October 26, 1940, she married Edwin McCurdy and he survives.  Survivors include four children: Bonnie McCurdy of Addison, MI; Garnet (Susan Katherine) McCurdy of Cape Coral, FL; Arnold (Sandra) McCurdy of Belleville; and William (Michael Below) McCurdy of Ypsilanti.  Seven grandchildren: Michael (Sharon) and Pamela Smith; Tracy (Steven) Chamberlin; Tammy (Craig) Raynor; Carrie (Steven) Allen; Rodney (Roxanne) and Jamie McCurdy.  Nine great-grandchildren; three sisters: Bernadine Russell, Faye Haner and Gladys Coleman; and several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by one son, Gary Michael McCurdy and one brother Edsel Beagle.  Funeral mass will be 11 a.m. Friday, June 15, 2001 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Edmond Ertzbischoff celebrant.  Burial will be 2:30 p.m. Friday in Oak Grove Cemetery, Milford, MI.  Memorials may be made to the American Lung Association.  Envelopes are available at Stark Funeral Service, Moore Memorial Chapel, where the family will receive friends 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. Thursday and at the church from 10 a.m. until time of mass.
