She married JAMES R. MC GUFFIN. (James R. Mc Guffin is #57.) James was born circa 1825. James was the son of Samuel Mc Guffin and Catherine. In 1850 they were living in the household of Samuel McGuffin of Barbour County, West Virginia. On June 10, 1871, in Barbour County, they deeded their interest in the estate of Philip Counts to John R. Wilson.

60. JANE N.4 CARTER (Elizabeth3 Counts, Anna2 Keyser, Charles1) (#64) was born circa 1821.
She married DAVID WILSON. (David Wilson is #65.) David was born circa 1824. On 31 Jul 1850 they lived in Barbour County, WV. On 6 Mar 1871 in Clay County, Indiana, they executed a deed to John R. Wilson for their interest in the estate of Philip "Kountz" in Page County, Virginia.

He married SUSAN. (Susan is #70.) Susan was born circa 1829. In July 1850 they were living in Barbour County, WV.

62. PHILIP G.4 CARTER (Elizabeth3 Counts, Anna2 Keyser, Charles1) (#73) was born circa 1829.
He married SARAH E.. (Sarah E. is #74.) Sarah was born circa 1833. In the 1860 Census for Barbour County, WV, he is shown in the household of his mother. In 1860 he was still living with his mother but was married and owned $336.00 worth of personal property. On May 18, 1870, while a resident of Clay County, Indiana, he conveyed his "one-eighth interest" in the Philip "Kountz" estate to John R. Wilson.

63. ELIZABETH4 CARTER (Elizabeth3 Counts, Anna2 Keyser, Charles1) (#76) was born circa 1833. Elizabeth died before 1871.
She married UNK CROSS. (Unk Cross is #77.) She died prior to 1871 when the suit of John R. Wilson against the heirs of Philip Counts was instituted.

Elizabeth Carter and Unk Cross had the following family:

i. SALATHIE5 (#78).
ii. EMILY (#79). She married UNK ALLENDER . (Unk Allender is #80.)

64. WARREN4 KISER (Joseph3, Joseph Keyser2, Charles1 Keyser) (#551) was born 1808. Warren died 1848 at 40 years of age. His body was interred in Russell Co, Va, just above Carbo. He is buried on a cliff on the south bank of Clinch River along with his Uncle Nimrod Kiser.

He married ELIZABETH 'BETSY' SUTHERLAND. (Elizabeth 'Betsy' Sutherland is #1393.) Elizabeth was born 1819. Elizabeth was the daughter of Daniel Sutherland and Phoebe Fuller.
Warren lived near Carbo; he died from injuries received when thrown from a frightened horse. On November 19, 1924, RACHEL KISER KISER, (d/o EPHRIAM and POLLY SUTHERLAND KISER) stated "Warren Kiser is buried on a cliff on the south bank of the Clinch River, just above Carbo, along with Uncle Nimrod Kiser and my brothers Ephriam and Elijah. No tombstones have ever been erected there. Warren Kiser was Uncle Joe Kiser's boy. He married my cousin, Betsy Sutherland, daughter of Daniel and Phoebe (Fuller) Sutherland. They lived at the Shirley place, where his son-in-law Elijah Laforce now (1924) lives. One day he was watering his young mare. A fice (a small dog) was after a rabbit and suddenly chased it under the mare which frightened her and caused her to run away. She ran down a hill to a pair of bars where she suddenly stopped, throwing Warren off and breaking his neck. His wife remained single and lived there the rest of her life."

65. MARGARET ELIZABETH4 KISER (Joseph3, Joseph Keyser2, Charles1 Keyser) (#552) was born in Russell Co, Va 1810.
She married JOHN HAMON Jr. (John Hamon Jr is #1404.) John was the son of John Hamon Sr and Mary. They moved to Jackson Co, WV about 1845. They were both members of the Baptist Church.

66. JAMES S. "BELL CLAPPER JIM"4 KISER (Joseph3, Joseph Keyser2, Charles1 Keyser) (#553) was born in Russell Co, Va 10 Jul 1812. James died 26 Nov 1903 at 91 years of age.
He married SUSAN SUTHERLAND. (Susan Sutherland is #1413.) Susan was born 12 August 1819. Susan was the daughter of Daniel Sutherland and Phoebe Fuller. Susan died 28 March 1899 at 79 years of age. They lived on Dumps Creek near Clinchfield, Russell Co, Va.

James S. "Bell Clapper Jim" Kiser and Susan Sutherland had the following family:

She married JAMES LAFORCE. (James Laforce is #1432.) James was born 1812. James was the son of Mont Moncier LaForce and Catherine 'Katie' Sutherland. James died January 1891 at 78 years of age.

    Catherine was born 7 September 1841. Catherine was the daughter of Charles Kiser and Nancy LaForce. Catherine died 30 August 1925 at 83 years of age. They had no children.

        xi. RACHEL MATILDA (#1443) was born 1851. Rachel died 20 June 1923 at 71 years of age.

        xiii. AARON (#1445) was born 1859. Aaron died 14 October 1914 at 55 years of age. E. J. Sutherland says "According to Malissa Sutherland, August 11, 1939, "Uncle Aaron's wife killed a woman at St. Paul, Virginia, and it took all their fine farm there to pay her out. Heard about Granny Kiser going down to Ohio one summer to see them". As yet we have not discovered who this wife was nor if they had any children. JV

68. EPHRIAM MAYFIELD4 KISER (Joseph3, Joseph Keyser2, Charles1 Keyser) (#555) was born in Russell Co, Va 1818. Ephriam died 1904 at 86 years of age.
He married twice. He married MARY 'POLLY' ERVIN in Russell Co, Va. (Mary 'Polly' Ervin is #1457.) Mary was born 1820. Mary was the daughter of Micajah 'Cager' Ervin and Sarah Sutherland. Mary died 1851 at 31 years of age. He married JANE HICKS in Russell Co, Va, 5 January 1855. Ephriam Mayfield and Jane were married by Minister Andrew A. Kiser. (Jane Hicks is #1458.)
Jane was born 1831. Jane was the daughter of Claiborne Hicks and Susannah Hughes. Jane died October 1921 at 90 years of age. They lived on Flat Spur.

She married HENRY KISER. (Henry Kiser is #582.) Henry was born 22 June 1822. Henry was the son of Ephriam Kiser and Mary Polly Sutherland. He married LEAH DUTY. Henry died 16 January 1908 at 85 years of age. He served in the Confederate Army.
