Congratulations on your site. I'm happy to see it. I'm interested in the KISERs who married JESSEEs. The KISERs in my data base are Abednego b. 1784; Elihu the elder b. 1810; Frances b. 1805; Fullen b. 1850; Jefferson b. 1830; Joseph Kenton (birth date unknown) m. Susannah STACEY; Malissa d/o Noah, birth date unknown); Margaret b. 1834; Mary b. 1837; Noah b. 1809; and Sophronia b. 1875. Most of the info I have on these people was researched by someone else. The majority of first hand research I've done is on JESSEEs of Russell Co. and BLACKs of Ashe Co. NC. Of the KISERs listed here, Elihu, Frances, Martha, and Noah are 1st cousins, 3 times removed. One thing I have that you might want to know about is an informal index of JESSEEs -- about 900 names -- which is undocumented, but was helpful to me in sorting out the Russell Co JESSEE families, eliminating duplications, etc. This index lists JESSEE in iviual's 1st names, birth/death years, partents, including mother's birth name, spouse and year of marriage and/or comment. I also have a very incomplete index of spouse surnames of those who married JESSEEs. I am descended from John and Frances LEA JESSEE, Archer JESSEE, William JESSEE and my grandfather, Alexander Robert Preston JESSEE.

I feel you are doing a wonderful job. This is such an inportant legacy for our children. I wish it was possible to regain the closeness families had years ago. I grew up in Olive Hill, Kentucky. I am a secretary for the West Kentucky Scottish Rite Masons. I have lived away from my family for the last twenty five years because my husband Winfred Wayne Rodgers was in the U.S. Navy. He retired after twenty years os service as a Chief Petty Officer. We moved back to the part of Kentucky he was from. I hoped to spend more time with my family. Nice site. It's good to see a web site for the "other" Kiser family of Page County. I am descended from Michael Kiser, who was apparently not related to Charles. See my web site. In your first generation listing, you show Michael as "ii", a son of Charles. That is not the case. Michael was a son of Valentine Kayser. They both came over from Rumpenheim, Germany to Berks Co., PA in 1750. (Felty was actually his son Valentine, from hom I am descended.) Can you remove Michael from this listing so as not to confuse anyone? May I include a link to your web site from mine? I get a lot of inquiries from folks who are really looking for your branch. Even thought I don't claim Keyser lineage, but when doing research on my Rinehart family from Augusta and Shenandoah Co's., Virginia I keep coming across this lineage. My ancestor, Hans Michael Rinehart II (l738-l783) farm abutted Andrew Keyser's land in Shenandoah Co., Virginia, near the town of Luray. Another comment if you please-researching the Parrott and Kiser family tree I have come to one inescapable conclusion, and that is we are the sum of all the people who's names are recorded here and elsewhere. We are not truly alone, but rather like l afs on a very large and vibrant tree.
