 She married BEVERLY FLOYD KISER.  (BEVERLY FLOYD KISER  is #8114.)  BEVERLY was born 25 Oct 1855.  BEVERLY was the son of ABEDNEGO KISER  and MARGARET L. JESSEE .
 Floyd was a farmer, miner and justice of the peace.  The last years of his life were spent at Rockhouse, Kentucky.  Floyd, as he was called, also had a nickname - "Professor".  Per Hassan Kiser.  The origin of the nickname "Professor" was due to his extensive knowledge of the latest on local events as he read every newspaper printed in the area.
 Per Linda Kiser Ridge:  "The family moved between Floyd and Pike County with him dying at Rockhouse at Uncle Jeff's.  The house still stands (1999) and two of Uncle Jeffs daughters still live there."
 Per Linda Kiser Ridge, "He was known to be a very kind, quiet and patient sort.  Never raised his voice.  The worse he said was CONFOUND and CONSARN IT.  He loved Ava's biscuits and "do sop" (gravy) and asked her to make this and cornbread often. Floyd was about 6'2", Christina "Tiny" was about 5'.
 "Aunt Juanita said that she was frightened by storms as a child.  She said that she would ask Grandpa to explain why they had to have storms and Grandpa Floyd would, in a gentle manner, reply that it rained because God was crying.  He cried because of all of the evil in the world.  Juanita said she would then promise to be good and not make God cry".

 She married ELIJAH RASNICK 14 Sep 1877.  (ELIJAH RASNICK  is #1626.)  ELIJAH was born 7 Apr 1857.  ELIJAH was the son of JAMES HARVEY RASNICK  and MARGARET COUNTS .  ELIJAH died 18 Mar 1949 at 91 years of age.  They lived near Nora.  He was a farmer, orchardist, and a well known herb doctor.  His granddaughter, Vera (of F-248), described him as tall and fair, radiating a warm and sparkling personality; entertaining, imaginative, with a repertoire of stories, jokes, riddles and songs; knowledgeable and talented in the ways of nature. Skeen decided in the fall of 1894 to go to law school.  They traveled muleback to the railroad station at Cleveland, Va; thence by train via Bluefield, West Va, and Ashland, Kentucky, to Valparaiso, Indiana, where they entered the law department of Northern Indiana College.  Completing the two year course in one year, they received their LLB Degrees on June 5, 1895, and began their practice in Clintwood, Va. He was Commonwealth’s Attorney, Dickenson County, 1899-1903, 1916-23, 1936-39; Mayor of Clintwood, 1896-98; Supervisor, the Federal Census, 9th Va Dist, 1910; Chairman, Republican Party; member Va Republican Executive Comittee for 20 years; officer of Dickenson County Bank and Clintwood Bank.  COUNTS F-483 pg 88

 Per his daughter, Juanita, "Ode worked for the railroad as a brakeman to begin with.  His wife, Alva, taught him to read and write and he passed the test for fireman.  During the Great Depression he was released and he was a coalminer when there was work.  This was off and on.  He went back to railroad work and continued until he retired, after the Great Depression."

Apparently he stumbled over a log and shot himself through the stomach.  His hunting dog began to howl and his father, Ode, climbed the mountain, in failing health, to find him dead.  Lillie had Columbus Edward's body in the front room of the house for 3 days and was so distraught that it took the mortician coming out from town to convince her to consent to his burial.

 He married BLANCHE SUSAN COMPTON in Livingston, Park Co, MT, 21 Nov 1939.  They divorced. (BLANCHE SUSAN COMPTON  is #10349.)
 BLANCHE was born 21 May 1913.  BLANCHE was the daughter of ABRAM BERRY COMPTON  and LAURA BELLE GILLENWATER .  BLANCHE died 23 Jan 1977 at 63 years of age.  They lived at Pray, Montana.
 He married HESTER "HES" HESS Miller in Livingston, Park Co, MT, 13 Mar 1971.  (HESTER "HES" HESS Miller is #10355.)  HESTER was born 28 May 1912.  HESTER is the daughter of IRA HESS  and SALLY HONAKER .  She was a widow.
