• Military Service, Abt 1862/1879, Aldershot/Exeter/Nz. S/N 88 Royal Irish 18th Regiment. Came to New Zealand in 1864 to fight in the "Maori Wars". Wife either came with him or they married on board ship or whatever, but they had one child born in New Zealand and one on the ship on the way back to England.
