Perhaps you can help Tom with some of his puzzle, he writes: "...Why he (Crawford) went from NC to ILL is the one mystery I cannot solve. All I have on that is family memory and one document that indicated the year he came to Texas. My mother always told me that my Great-Grand Mother (Crawford's daughter) was born in a covered wagon on their trip from ILL to Texas. Perhaps I will learn something after your posting.
