| These two beautiful people are the inspiration for my research.
Perry Green Parker and his wife Ethel Wray Morrison Parker. Grandma was born October 7, 1899, the fifth child of Louteshia Green and James Lafayette"Fate" Morrison. She passed away on May 5, 1989, and is sorely missed by her 11 surviving children, and 30+ grandchildren. Grandpa was born April 17, 1893, the fourth child of Alice E Cogdell and Allen C Parker. We lost him on December 30, 1991. They were the parents of 12 children, and would have celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary in November, 1989. |

| My Grandparents were farmers by trade. In 1941 a photographer came 'round and took this family photograph. It is the only one in existence and is guarded closely by my Mom. The picture is a small 1-1/2" by 3" snapshot, which went through the laundry in Grandpa's overall pocket several times. Years ago Grandma gave it to my Mom for safe keeping. It has enjoyed a good home. |
| My Dad's family was in the habit of assigning nicknames to the children, so here's the list of my Grandparent's children... |
| "Buck", James Allen Parker |
| "Boots" or "Rob", Robert Lee Parker |
| "Jack", Jesse Jack Parker |
| "Tom", A C Parker |
| "Sis", Margaret Parker |
|
"Speed", P G Parker |
| "Susie", Jewel Aileen Parker |
| "Vop", Glen Odell Parker |
|
|
| Billy Dean "Jake" Parker |
| Mary Ellen "Beck" Parker |
| Betty Joyce "Monk" Parker |
