Company C, 71st Regiment of NC Troops

This unit was raised and enlisted of troops from Cleveland County. The company functioned as part of the regiment, formed by the consolidation of the 2nd and 5th Battalions, for the entirety of the war. More detailed information on each of these soldiers can be found in North Carolina Troops 1861-1865 A Roster, Volume X, Infantry, compiled by Weymouth T Jordan, Jr with Unit Histories by Louis H Manarin.
